University of Siegen
The Research Group “Information Systems and New Media” at the University of Siegen investigates the development, introduction, and appropriation processes of cooperation and media systems. The research group is internationally well known in the areas of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), community research, and practice- and user-centred research methodologies (living lab approach). The group is led by Prof. Dr. Volker Wulf.
The research group „Ubiquitous Design“ in the Department of Business Information Systems at the University of Siegen, Germany, focuses on how to design meaningful moments through interactive technologies – in short: experience design. Currently, the main application areas for their design for wellbeing approach are health, work and everyday life domains using technologies such as robots, autonomous learning systems, or virtual reality. The group is led by Prof. Dr. Marc Hassenzahl.
