Gatebox Inc.

Gatebox Inc. is a Japanese IoT manufacturer, established in 2014, to realize “Life with Virtual beings”. Gatebox Inc. is a subsidy of Line Corp., which has a dominant share of Japanese messaging application, and is developing Japanese dedicated AI technology. Currently, Gatebox sells 2nd generation devices in the Japanese market and is continuing research and development to realize its company vision.

Role in the project:

Gatebox will contribute with Hologram devices, which include 3D-like displays, a microphone for voice recognition/input, a camera for multi-purpose visual sensing, a speaker, and other sensors. Gatebox has a good experience as an integrator of AI, speech recognition, and synthesis during commercializing of the device. Gatebox can contribute not only the devices, but also its experience in system building.

	The Japanese consortium received funding from the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication (MIC), Grant no. JPJ000595.
